Station House Cafe
Your community cafe that cares.
About the Cafe …
Our friendly Station Café is situated in a picturesque early Victorian station house and is located at the main Whitegate Way car park off Clay Lane, Marton, Cheshire.
The Station house once served as the halfway point for the old mineral railway line, housing the station master and his family. In its heyday, the railway carried salt from Winsford to Cuddington Junction. The Station opened in 1870, and also carried passengers in its day. The line however closed to passengers in 1931 and closed completely on 4th November 1963.
Volunteer with us!
We have a small band of part time staff who support the volunteer team and keep things in the cafe running smoothly. the majority of people who work at the cafe are volunteers, local people who invest a few hours a week to make our cafe what it is.
